The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers the following degrees.

Undergraduate Programs:

** All three of our undergraduate programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Online program is designed to serve the need of the working professional. 

Graduate Programs:

With over 35 full-time faculty, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is advancing innovation across a broad spectrum of research and education. From artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, wireless communications, and cybersecurity to power systems, semiconductor devices, robotics, and smart energy systems, our faculty and students are tackling today's most exciting engineering challenges. Undergraduate students gain valuable hands-on experience through laboratory-based courses, while graduate students contribute to cutting-edge research published in leading international journals and conferences.

Our faculty collaborate with researchers across Stony Brook University, including the School of Medicine, as well as partners such as Brookhaven National Laboratory, the New York State Center for Advanced Sensor Technology, and the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology. Many of our faculty are recipients of prestigious honors, including the NSF CAREER Award, and serve as leaders in their fields through editorial roles and internationally recognized research.

Please Note: If a disruption presents an immediate threat to safety, contact University Police when it is safe to do so at (631) 632-3333. For non-emergency situations, inform and consult with the department chair and the CARE Team at (631) 632-CARE (2273). If the individual causing the disruption is a student, reach out to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for guidance on how to handle and report the behavior.
