February 12, 2014

By Ryan Wolf

Stony Brook University has been selected to host the 2015 SUNY Sustainability Conference, which will be held on October 4, 5 and 6th at the Hilton Garden Inn on the University’s west campus.  The two and a half day Conference gives the State University of New York’s 64 colleges and universities the opportunity to showcase, collaborate and identify programs that will pave the way towards a sustainable future.  In addition to SUNY campuses, Conference attendees also include private New York State colleges and universities, as well as sustainability-minded students and vendors.

Beginning in 2011, the annual SUNY Sustainable Conference has been organized by the Conference Steering Committee representing different SUNY campuses and SUNY’s Central Administration for the purpose of highlighting the innovative sustainable projects being implemented around the state.  Past hosts of the conference include SUNY Oswego in 2014, University at Buffalo in 2013, Syracuse Center of Excellence in 2012 and Empire State College in 2011.
