Off Campus: Walking Distance
Most of the off campus restaurants require a car to get to. Below are some of our suggestions which you can reach by a short walk.
Green Tea (Chinese)
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the area (and on Long Island) offers authentic Sichuan cuisine. It is possible to walk to this restaurant, as it is located right across the Stony Brook train station. Some of the dishes served there are pretty hot! This restaurant is a good option for having a group dinner, as sharing dishes is encouraged.
China Station (Chinese)
A cheaper Chinese option by the Stony Brook train station, offers home-made noodle dishes and soups. It is a good choice for an inexpensive lunch.
Green Cactus (Mexican)
A popular Tex-Mex place offering a variety of burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. Good for take out or for a quick lunch.

Curry Club (Indian)
An Indian restaurant, offering an all-you-can-eat options during lunch and a la carte menu for dinner. Adjacent to it is a Velvet Lounge, a bar with an outdoor seating, popular among Stony Brook students and faculty.
