WEEKLY TESTING NON-COMPLIANCE

SUBJECT(S): Notices of Non-compliance and Directives to Employees Who Have Not Been Testing Weeky

DATE:  09/17/2021

AUDIENCE:  State and RF University Employees  (WC, SOM, HSC) required to test monthly, but are not in compliance

You were notified last month of your requirement to participate in mandatory pooled surveillance testing pursuant to SUNY requirements and the Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the State and the unions.

You are receiving this email as our records indicate that you have failed to participate in the required campus weekly COVID-19 surveillance testing. You are therefore directed to comply with this requirement and report to the SAC for pooled testing immediately and no later than September 23, 2021. This information and directive is being shared with your supervisor. Should you fail to comply with this directive, administrative action may be taken against you.

Testing is available without an appointment. Please check the Testing and Screening Information website for the most current schedules and locations.

SUNY requirements and the MOUs require that individuals who are not fully vaccinated or who have not shared their vaccination status with HR must test once per week. Fully vaccinated employees who share their vaccination status with HR may opt out from mandatory weekly testing, and must test once a month. If you are fully vaccinated and still need to share your vaccination status with HR through the SOLAR portal, [click here for instructions].

Please note, if you are a School of Medicine Clinical Faculty member, or if your work involves patient care or contact, you must follow the guidance issued by Stony Brook Medicine. If you would like to receive a COVID vaccination, stop by our vaccination site located in the Innovation & Discovery Building (IDC) in Stony Brook’s Research and Development (R&D) Park. The site is open starting at 8:00 am, seven days a week, with walk-in appointments available.

If you believe you received this message in error, have reported your vaccination status in SOLAR, or wish to provide other information, please let us know via this response form.
