2019-2020 National Grid 'GreenDependence' Scholarship
This prestigious scholarship was established by National Grid at Stony Brook University to develop the next generation of environmental stewards by employing sustainable practices in their chosen career. Scholars are chosen for their environmental leadership on campus.

2019 Othmar Ammann Scholarship
The prestigious Othmar Ammann Scholarship in Civil Engineering was established at Stony Brook University in memory of Othmar Ammann, who was a prominent engineer, most well-known for his accomplishments in the field of bridge design engineering. This award is only offered to a civil engineering student and only once a year in the spring.

2020 Stony Brook University Undergraduate Recognition Award for Academic Excellence
Students who receive an Undergraduate Recognition Award for Academic Excellence Award have a 3.4 or higher GPA and have achieved academic accomplishments that go beyond the classroom experience.

2020 Stony Brook University Undergraduate Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement in Leadership
Students who receive the Undergraduate Recognition Award for Outstanding Achievement have a 2.75 GPA or higher. These awards are presented for accomplishments that relate to the life of the university and surrounding community in the following subcategories: Athletics, Community Service and Leadership.

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (SUNY LSAMP) Scholarship
Funded by the National Science Foundation, Scholars are chosen to increase the number of underrepresented minorities (African-American, Latino, Native American, Alaskan Native, Hawaiian Native, and Native Pacific Islander) who pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The LSAMP program is especially interested in high-achieving students who intend to pursue post-baccalaureate studies in science or mathematics and bachelor degrees in egnineering. Stony Brook is the lead institution for SUNY LSAMP. |

2020 Department of Civil Engineering Academic Excellence Award
The Academic Excellence Award is generally awarded to a graduating civil engineering student who has obtained the highest cumulative GPA; however, a student who has a second major and minors, relevant research and internship(s), and held leadership roles in program-related CEAS professional societies and honor societies may also be considered.

2020 Department of Civil Engineering Student Award of Honor
Award of Honor Certificates are given to the top 5% (by GPA) of all graduating students (among BE, MS and PhD candidates) or for outstanding achievement (e.g., second majors, research accomplishments) and/or dedication (i.e. service) to the department and the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University.

2020 Department of Civil Engineering Harold Walker Hard Hat Award
This award was established in 2018 to honor the inaugural chair of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Harold Walker, a premiere researcher in the field of Environmental Engineering and respected educator. Dr. Walker helped establish the Center for Clean Water Technology at Stony Brook University and brought clean water technology to the fore on Long Island. This award is designed to recognize an undergraduate student who chose Environmental Engineering as their specialization or a graduate student completing their MS or PhD degree in Environmental Engineering. The winner of this award brings dedication and hard work to further progress the area of Environmental Engineering through research.
