Our Mission

The Center for Changing Systems of Power advances epistemic, aesthetic, and social justice through collaborative research, teaching, advocacy, and activism. We build knowledge together with local and global communities — within and beyond the university — to understand and challenge interlocking systems of oppression shaped by class, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, ability, and geography. This interdisciplinary Center provides a space on campus for discussion, research, and action on activism, social justice, and inequality.
