Rocco Sabino has over 25 years of accounting and financial management experience in the manufacturing, financial services and community banking industries. He has held various senior financial executive and consulting roles for credit unions ranging from $260 million to over $6 billion. His experience includes implementing budget and forecast processes, vendor due diligence programs, Enterprise Risk Management programs, Asset Liability Management, Scorecards/Dashboard performance metrics and profitability systems. As a former Chief Financial Officer, he has controlled expenses, improved investment portfolio yields, restructured accounting departments, developed strategies to mitigate interest rate and liquidity risk, improved internal controls and developed financial and operational policies and procedures. Rocco is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and holds an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University, and a BA from Stony Brook University in Foreign Language and Business Administration. He earned a Post Masters certificate at NYU Stern School of Business in Accounting. He is greenbelt certified in lean six sigma and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University’s College of Business where he teaches undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.

Research: International Accounting Standards and needs of nonfinancial professional to learn and understand basic financial management skills.

Teaching: Besides Accounting and Finance, I would like to teach leadership classes and business classes that are global in scope.
