Dr. Lanxin Jiang is an Assistant Professor at the College of Business at Stony Brook University. She received her PhD in accounting and information systems from Rutgers University and joined Stony Brook University in 2025.

Dr. Jiang's research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and accounting, with a particular focus on how technologies can improve the effectiveness and integrity of auditing and financial reporting. Her recent work includes developing ML models to detect financial misconduct and improve the validity of accounting estimates, applying explainable AI to optimize audit partner-client matching, and exploring the role of emerging technologies in ESG reporting and greenwashing detection.
