John Colbert is a seasoned executive and educator with over three decades of experience leading product and business strategy in the technology sector. He has held senior leadership roles at firms including IBM and OpenGov, where he successfully guided teams through major growth initiatives, product launches, and digital transformations. His work has consistently focused on delivering customer-centric innovation and operational excellence across enterprise software platforms.

Mr. Colbert holds an MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University, a pioneering program combining MBA coursework with graduate-level studies in Chemical and Industrial Engineering. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to professional development, mentoring, and team enablement, delivering workshops and keynotes for audiences ranging from young professionals to global product teams.

In the classroom, Mr. Colbert draws on his industry background to teach practical, real-world management principles. He has a particular passion for offering management, go-to-market strategy, and organizational leadership. At IBM, he helped transform product managers into strategic offering managers, while at OpenGov, he led enablement sessions for hundreds of cross-functional professionals.

Beyond his professional work, Mr. Colbert has served on nonprofit boards, led community youth programs, and participated in pro bono consulting projects. He is also an avid amateur cyclist who has completed numerous endurance events in the U.S. and abroad.
