Stony Brook Alumni Association 2021 Awards Application

FINAL DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2021 BY 5 PM

APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER THIS DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

All matriculating undergraduates students who are currently registered for 6 or more credits, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or higher, and are in good standing at Stony Brook University are eligible to apply.

Transfer students must have completed at least one semester as a full-time student at Stony Brook University.

Matriculating graduate students who are currently registered for 6 or more credits, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher may apply for the Life Member Award. Please see the award descriptions for specific eligibility details.

To apply for a Stony Brook Alumni Association Student Award, all applicants must complete the following steps:

1. Complete the application form below, which includes a 500-word essay and resume. It is recommended that you prepare the essay as a separate document and “cut AND paste” it into the designated area below.

2. Attach a copy of your resume to the form in the designated area below.

3. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation from Stony Brook University Faculty and/or Staff.   Recommendation letters must be emailed by the recommender to:   alumniawards@stonybrook.edu

Applicants applying for more than one award MUST SUBMIT A SEPARATE ONLINE APPLICATION, with a SEPARATE ESSAY, for each award applied for.
