Welcome to the Center for Nuclear Theory
Stony Brook Center for Nuclear Theory performs research on the modern theory of strong interactions - Quantum ChromoDynamics (QCD). This includes QCD at high temperature and density currently under study at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at BNL and Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and QCD at high energies and large momentum transfer that will be studied at the future Electron Ion Collider at BNL. We also work on the interfaces between Nuclear Theory and Quantum Information and other fields of physics.
