The College of Business Bridge to Success Program supports sophomore business and accounting students as they transition into upperclass academic and professional life within the College of Business. Through peer mentorship, networking opportunities, leadership development, and academic support, students gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed for long-term success, engagement, and retention within the College of Business community.

Why We Focus on Sophomore Students
While first-year students benefit from transitional support, many are simultaneously adjusting to college life, academics, and campus involvement — making it difficult to fully engage in sustained mentorship programming. By targeting sophomores, the Bridge to Success Program supports students at a point when they are more academically and socially established and are beginning to focus more intentionally on leadership opportunities, professional development, career exploration, networking, and long-term academic planning.
Bridge to Success Mentees
Rising sophomore business and accounting students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 can apply to join a cohort of high-achieving peers. Through bi-weekly mentorship meetings and monthly group programming, mentees build the academic, leadership, and professional skills needed to thrive as upperclass students.
Bridge to Success Mentors
Junior and senior College of Business students with strong leadership and communication skills guide each cohort. As the backbone of the program, mentors support up to three mentees each, strengthen their own leadership skills, and build lasting connections with faculty, staff, and fellow mentors.
