Bio
Professor Allocca is a practicing CPA who has obtained diverse industry experience since beginning his public accounting career in 1979. He was a member of the Assurance Services Department of Ernst & Young, specializing in auditing, internal control systems development and review, as well as financial accounting advisory services. He has extensive experience in corporate accounting as a controller and treasurer in the manufacturing and service industries.
He has been affiliated with the College of Business as a faculty member since 1992. Professor Allocca has won numerous teaching awards in the undergraduate and graduate programs. He functioned in the administrative capacity as the Undergraduate Program Director from 1996-2015.
Professor Allocca was instrumental in establishing the undergraduate accounting specialization, the accounting minor, as well as the MBA and MS, graduate degree programs in accounting.
Teaching: Areas of focus: financial, managerial, cost, and intermediate accounting.
