Declaring or Changing a Major/Minor 

Undergraduate West Campus students have the option to declare or change a major or minor in accordance with University policies and program requirements. Please note that requests can only be performed during an active period where the Major/Minor Change Form is open. Requests are processed and made effective for the next semester.

New Incoming students cannot use this form to make changes to their major, only continuing students - this must be requested through Admissions. Only after their first semester and the form reopens can students utilize this form.

  • Navigate to SOLAR
  • Click on Manage Classes tile
  • Navigate to the My Course History menu and click on Undergraduate Major/Minor Form, which is a google form. 
  • If the form does not populate, make sure that you are trying to access the form during an active window on the calendar, remove any popup blockers and clear your history on your browser. A recommended browser is Chrome

Some programs may require additional approval from the academic department or completion of specific prerequisite coursework before a request can be processed.

Students are encouraged to consult with an academic advisor prior to submitting a request to ensure eligibility requirements are met and to understand how changes may impact degree progress and graduation timelines.

Requests are subject to review and approval by the appropriate academic department.

Please note that the following schools/colleges have their own major/minor declaration form:

  • College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS)
  • College of Business (COB)
  • Distributed Teacher and Leader Education (D-TALE) Program

Students currently enrolled in a program in either college or students seeking to enroll in either college should connect with these respective colleges for their change forms.
