Welcome to the Teacher Education and Educational Leadership Programs at Stony Brook University

This website serves as a resource for current and potential students of undergraduate, graduate, five-year accelerated bachelor's / master's, and post-graduate level programs, as well as for experienced P-12 and University educators across disciplines.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Dr. Ximena Zate, immediate past Director of the TESOL Teacher Education Program. She was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed.
We are proud to announce that Stony Brook University has been named by Governor Cuomo to serve as the regional hub for the New York State Master Teacher Program.
Please visit the SBU press release for program information and participant requirements.

Special thanks to our mentoring and cooperating teachers and administrators in partnering school districts for their support of our teacher preparation and educational leadership candidates.
