Yardi Scholars Good Program Standing Requirements
To remain in good program standing, and continue to receive Yardi scholarship funding, Yardi Scholars must
- Be enrolled full-time with Business or Accounting as your primary major;
- Receive an “S” (Satisfactory) grade in their SBU 101 course and a C or better in all required Business major courses;
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0;
- Participate actively in Yardi Business Futures Leaders programming; and
- Not be found responsible for academic dishonesty or violate Stony Brook’s Code of Conduct
Yardi Scholars Curricular Requirements
- Yardi cohort SBU/SCH 101 and 102
- EXP+ (3) credit Global Experience sophomore year
- Complete Yardi Scholars Business Success Academy
- Regular attendance and active engagement in Yardi Scholars’ programming
- Recommended participation in COB Departmental Honors Capstone
Business Success Academy
New student programming and thematic first-year seminars ensure a seamless transition to university life and business study. Academy components include:
- Early move-in and Welcome Week programming
- Yardi sections of required first-year seminars
- Select first-year programs and events on first-generation student success; academic and study skills development; leadership dinner(s); and career readiness programming.
Global Business Experience
Yardi Scholars will complete a three-credit study abroad trip their sophomore year, visiting international corporations and Yardi Systems global offices.
