Director

William Stewart is an Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Stony Brook University. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems (lis.epfl.ch) at EPFL in Switzerland. He was awarded the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. (2018) from North Carolina (NC) State University in Raleigh. During his time at NC State, he was a two-time AUVSI Student UAS competition champion (2010 and 2014). His area of expertise falls in aeronautics, mechanics, and robot design. Outside of work, he enjoys Skiing, Hiking, Travel, and Boardgames.
