FACULTY & STAFF RESOURCES

Please refer to the Classroom Disruption section of our website for more information.

If you believe a student may have violated a policy in the Code of Student Responsibility, please email communitystandards@stonybrook.edu or call our office at (631) 632-6705 to connect with a member of our team.

All information necessary should be included in the report so our office can have an accurate description of the incident and alleged student and/or classroom behavior. Please include First and Last names, ID numbers, and any details you think most accurately describe the incident.

Should a student contact you for support we would encourage you to familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures.  Encourage your student to ask questions, to attend all scheduled meetings and to be honest and forthcoming during their interactions with our office.

Students can ask staff or faculty members to serve as their advisor during a conduct meeting or an administrative hearing. Please refer to the 'Advisors' FAQ to understand more about the role you would play during the process and how you can support your student.

Students who are alleged to have violated academic integrity policies should be referred to the appropriate office. For Undergraduate students, you can contact the Academic Integrity Office. For Graduate or Professional students, please consult with your Dean's office for the most appropriate point of contact.

Please refer to the Volunteer section of our website where you can find more information on how to get involved.
