Areas of Specialization: Political philosophy, Foucault, and Derrida

During his undergraduate studies and master’s degree he focused on Michel Foucault’s philosophy. Then, he earned a law degree and worked as a lawyer at the Office of the Colombian Attorney General and at the Colombian Special Jurisdiction for Peace. At Stony Brook University he has done research on Jacques Derrida’s thought, social movements, feminism, and Marxism. Now, he is writing his dissertation on the role of forgiveness in transitional justice processes.
