Born and raised in South Carolina, I am of Catalan heritage and earned my B.A. in Philosophy from DePaul University in Chicago. My primary philosophical interests are in the history of philosophy from Kant through 19th and 20th Century Continental Philosophy, with an emphasis on ethics and the philosophy of religion. I’ve done extensive work on figures who address questions of morality, such as Nietzsche, Kant, and Bergson. I am particularly interested in studying and researching the historical contexts of our established ethical customs and how this history determines contemporary codes of conduct. Further, I am intrigued by the way religion fundamentally shapes our ethical systems and the implications of such influence.
