Stony Brook University researchers, together with SBU-affiliated startup Superclean Glass Inc., have received the R&D 100 Award from R&D World magazine. The award is often referred to as the “Oscars of Innovation.”

  • Our group has received a new NSF Award "Tunable catalytic surfaces synthesized and studied by in-situ methods "
  • Our group has received SUNY Award to establish a Center for Development and Validation of Scalable Methods for Sustainable Plastic Synthesis and Processing.
  • Our Group has received OVPR Seed Grant focused on “Observing and modelling new ceramics materials that can breathe out uniform and tunable nanoparticles”.

National Award in Environmental Chemistry Research

April 2019

Congratulations to Jiajie Cen for wining National Award in Environmental Chemistry Research or his research analyzing and developing new materials to generate sustainable energy. The American Chemical Society (ACS), the world’s largest scientific society, has recognized Cen’s research and is awarding him the 2019 Graduate Student Award in Environmental Chemistry.
