MIC Presents: Best 2024 MIC-URECA Poster Presentation Award
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Center for Multilingual and Intercultural Communication (MIC), we are thrilled to announce the Best 2024 MIC-URECA Poster Presentation Award. This award will be bestowed upon THREE (3) exceptional undergraduate students participating in the 2024 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) program. The selected poster presentations are expected to focus on issues within the realm of multilingual and intercultural communication and to exhibit not only remarkable quality but also the potential for intellectual and social impact, as determined by MIC faculty judges. The award includes a certificate, a noteworthy mention in campus news and related social media channels, and a $250 gift certificate.

Evaluation Criteria
- Relevance, significance, and originality of the research topic for multilingual and intercultural communication
- Use of appropriate theory and demonstration of adequate knowledge of prior research
- Appropriateness, effectiveness, and originality of research design (instruments, techniques, and procedures)
- Appropriateness of interpretations (demonstrating evidence and acknowledging limitations)
- Clarity and effectiveness of the poster
- Clarity and effectiveness of the in-person interactive presentation
- Potential for research and social impact on improving the conditions of individuals, groups, and/or societies in the world
