IMPORTANT REMINDER:
If you are planning to engage with elected officials in your capacity as a Stony Brook
employee, you must contact the Government Relations Team.
The Office of Government and Community Relations serves as the liaison advising Stony
Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine leadership, faculty, students, and staff
on external relationships with external groups, associations, elected officials at
all levels of government, schools, and the community, while also acting as a conduit
for cross-campus and regional partnerships and advocacy.
Government Relations
Government Relations is Stony Brook University's primary liaison to federal, state
and local elected representatives, government agencies and their staff. Through these
relationships we are able to share news of the University's progress and breakthroughs
of our world-class research in health, science and technology, the academic success
for our more than 25,000 students, and Stony Brook's leadership and progress in driving
the regional economy.
