Frequently Asked Questions

The Stony Brook Future Scholars Program offers  students from our partner schools mentorship, academic enrichment, and college readiness resources from 8th grade through high school graduation.

This program is available to students in our partner school districts: Riverhead Central School District, Bridgehampton Union Free School District, Tuckahoe Common School District, Southampton Union Free School District, and Hampton Bays Public Schools.

Each year, we welcome 50 students and offer them a cohort based model to build long lasting connections with their peers from our five partner school districts. They meet regularly throughout the school year for workshops and learning opportunities designed to help them succeed in life post high-school graduation. Students participate in activities that introduce them to various career fields, explore new found interests and strengthen  their skill sets.

Candidates can submit an application via our application portal. Candidates must  complete the application with support from a  parent or guardian.

Candidates will be notified of their admissions decision via the application portal.

The program is free for all participants.
