When visiting the pantry for the first time, guests must complete a brief intake and registration form by scanning a QR code at the front desk.
This registration is not used to determine eligibility - we use the form to gather information, which we use to best serve guests of our pantry. Guests do not need to provide any proof or demonstrate any need to us in order to use the Seawolves Pantry.
For your convenience, please bring a mobile device so you can complete the required forms and utilize our comfortable seating area while doing so.
Once the intake and registration form is completed, guests will be directed towards an online shopping cart to select their desired items that are in stock.
Please remain in the waiting area while you fill out your order. If you have any questions about food availability, please engage one of our volunteers, who can check what is currently available in our inventory.
Once you have finished selecting items, complete your order by checking out.
Once your name is called, a volunteer may begin asking you questions about your order.
Please note that the Seawolves Pantry is not self-service: visitors are not permitted to remove products from shelves or fridges. The volunteers will fill your bag according to the order you submitted; once the order is complete, they will hand you your bag of items.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know when you visit so we can best accommodate your needs.
The initial registration form prompts guests to create an account in our system with an associated username, email, and password. Make sure to remember the account information in order to reuse your account for future visits.
If you have any questions, or have problems with registering or submitting an order to the pantry, please contact us for assistance at SBUFoodPantry@stonybrook.edu.
