Biography
Howard Sirotkin’s research explores the mechanisms of how genetic and environmental insults to brain development cause human disease. This includes studies of genetic mutations that lead to autism, epilepsy and intellectual disability as well as assessments of the impacts of PFAS compounds “Forever chemicals” on brain development and function. His work touches on several areas of intense societal interest and public health significance, and it has been supported by the NIH, EPA, NY Stem cell board, Hudson River foundation and the Eagles Autism foundation.
