Biography

Catherine Marrone's research and teaching focuses on a number of issues within the field of medical sociology, including social inequality in health and the sociology of aging. Additionally, her teaching addresses global issues related to infant and maternal mortality, fertility rates, and the cultural consequences of new forms of reproductive technology. She is the editor of Deeply Private, Incredibly Public: Readings on the Sociology of Human Reproduction, which explores these issues. Her current research includes the study of academic dishonesty on college campuses.
