Biography

Dr. Finucane is recognized as an international expert on the perception and communication of risk and uncertainty related to climate resilience and disaster recovery. She brings deep knowledge of how to integrate social, behavioral, economic, natural, and physical sciences to advance evidence-based solutions to complex environmental and health challenges in underserved areas in the U.S. and globally. With more than 25 years of experience in highly regarded, non-profit research, education, and outreach organizations, Finucane has a proven track record for leading multi-million dollar, use-inspired science programs aimed at increasing the uptake of robust evidence in public and private decision-making processes.
