Biography

Dr. Barsi is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in all care of the pediatric patient including: scoliosis and kyphosis, hip disorders, fractures and growth plate injuries of the extremities, and pediatric sports medicine. His expertise includes care of all forms and severity of pediatric spinal problems including adolescent scoliosis, neuromuscular scoliosis, early onset scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis. Dr. Barsi’s experience in spinal care ranges from non-operative methods such as Mehta casting and bracing to posterior spinal fusion and even newer technologies such as magnetic expandable growing rods (MAGEC ©) and vertebral body tethering. Dr. Barsi is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America where he serves on several national committees.
