Biography
Dr. Boykan is a pediatric hospitalist and Associate Residency Director for the Stony Brook Pediatric Residency Program. As an advocate for tobacco control she has partnered with the New York State Smokers’ Quitline to implement their Opt-to-Quit™ program, through which smokers can be referred from a hospital or clinic electronically to the Quitline. Dr. Boykan also works closely with the American Academy of Pediatrics to address smoking exposure in children and use of electronic cigarettes in teenagers.
