Biography

Celia Marshik’s research focuses on British modernism, including the relationships between literature and the law and between modernism and cultural studies. Her teaching focuses on the relationship between modernism and the middlebrow, and the literature and culture of World War I. She is the author of  British Modernism and Censorship, as well as of articles on subjects that range from Virginia Woolf and copyright to the British secondhand clothing trade.
