Dr. London's research aims to identify and explore the individual, psychosocial and institutional mechanisms associated with social identity threat on the academic, intergroup and psychosocial well-being of historically marginalized groups (on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation).

thomas Woodson

Dr. Thomas S. Woodson is an associate professor in the Department of Technology and Society at Stony Brook University. He investigates the effects of technology on inequality throughout the world and the causes/consequences of inclusive innovation. For the past several years he has studied the effectiveness of scientific funding to have broader impact, and ways to improve diversity in STEM fields. He was the former director of SUNY LSAMP and now is SBU's LSAMP director.

Risa Stein
LSAMP Associate Program Director

Risa received her BA in Psychology from Stony Brook University and her MS in Counseling from NYIT. Prior to coming to Stony Brook, she coordinated three opportunity programs at Farmingdale State College for students in STEM fields. Her interests include student development, diversity, equity, and inclusion and she is dedicated to helping PT students to reach their education, career and personal goals.
