Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC)
The NROTC New York City Battalion develops students from the Greater New York Metropolitan Area, to include students attending Stony Brook University, for service as United States Navy or Marine Corps officers. The NYC NROTC offers flexible opportunities through different programs.
Air Force ROTC (AFROTC)
As a full-time student at Stony Brook University, you can take your AFROTC classes at Manhattan College. AFROTC offers both three and four-year commissioning programs, each with its own unique advantages. Students interested in joining the program should have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA, 1000+ SAT (Math/Verbal only), be physically fit, and be within Air Force height/weight standards.
