We are excited to announce this year's celebration and programming for First Generation Week from Monday, November 3 through Wednesday, November 8.

What is First Generation Week?

First Generation Week is an opportunity for our first-generation students to celebrate this remarkable achievement and connect them to campus traditions and role models to help them along their academic journey. A first-generation college student, by its national definition, is one whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year college or university degree.

Our First Generation Committee is committed to engaging our campus community by fostering connections, building support networks, and empowering first-generation students to thrive academically and personally. By uniting our diverse campus, we can create a rich environment where every student feels valued and inspired to succeed.

The committee will be hosting a series of events on campus, including an opening Fall Brunch and panel event, a first-generation student mixer, and more! Click here to view the full list of events and details.
