Student Affairs Traditions
Convocation is a long standing annual Student Affairs tradition that began over 40 years ago! It is a time for the entire team to get together and celebrate their amazing accomplishments and hard work throughout the past year. Staff is nominated by their peers and awards are given for distinguished service in the areas of outreach efforts, outstanding service, student development, systems innovation and teamwork and collaboration.
Fred Preston Partnership Awards
The Partnership Awards named for Dr. Frederick R. Preston, Vice President for Student Affairs from 1981-2005, are presented to a University department or individual in appreciation of their continuous support to the mission of the Division of Student Affairs and the quality of student life.
Summer Celebration is an opportunity to come together for food, music, games and activities, and most importantly to unwind after a busy year.
The Leadership Symposium is a unique forum designed to engage higher education leaders and other national experts in a panel presentation on a topic strategic to our collective missions.
