Postdoctoral Positions

We are pushing the limits on shape shifting UAVs! In this project we are rethinking the structures, actuators, sensors, and control systems used in morphing winged UAVs. We focus on embodying mechanical intelligence in structures through experiments ranging from benchtop tests to outdoor flight demonstrations. The Postdoctoral Associate will collaborate closely with the Dynamic Structures Laboratory at Stony Brook University. Interested folks should submit their applications here.

The Soft Flyers Group is setting up a world-class air-water experimental environment for mobile robotics! The focus will be on challenging weather and environmental conditions. PhD Positions

The Soft Flyers Group at Stony Brook University is not currently actively seeking PhD students, however, we are always interested in hearing from enthusiastic and proactive candidates who have a strong background in structural mechanics, aerial systems, material science, or control theory. Highly competitve candidates will also have demonstratable experience in hands-on robot development. If positions become available and align with a candidates strengths, they will be contacted directly.
