Implementation Committee

The Implementation Committee played a central role in the successful launch of SBU Research Connect, translating institutional goals into an operational, public-facing research portal. Drawing on expertise across institutional research, research administration, communications, and innovation, the committee led coordination with SUNY and the SUNY Research Connect initiative, ensured alignment with systemwide data standards and policies, and managed the technical and organizational groundwork required for launch. In parallel, the committee developed and executed a comprehensive media and visibility strategy, supporting media relations, storytelling, and outreach efforts that position Stony Brook University's research enterprise for broad public, scholarly, and industry engagement.
