Housing and Amenities
Residential participants will live in suite-style dorms on campus throughout the duration of their Pre-College Summer session. See the packing list for more information on what will be provided.
Accomodations
Stony Brook University is dedicated to creating an accessible environment for all members of the community. To support this mission, the Office of Equity and Access (OEA) is available to assist participants who require accommodations due to a disability or underlying health condition. To request an accommodation, contact the OEA at (631) 632-6280 or oea_ada@stonybrook.edu.
- Participants will reside in suite-style, air-conditioned rooms housing 3-6 individuals in mostly double occupancy bedrooms. Suites are separated by gender: male, female, and Gender Inclusive Housing (GIH).
- 2-3 rooms share a bathroom that is located in each suite. You can take a virtual tour of the facilities, including sleeping arrangements, common areas, and recreational spaces.
- Participants are expected to make their beds themselves upon arrival to the program. In addition, participants are expected to keep their space and all common areas clean, removing trash and linens prior to departure.
- Participants will be accompanied by residential ambassadors at least 18 years old and two years older than the general participant at all times. Residential ambassadors are responsible for addressing participants' needs, engagements, and concerns.
- Housing/Roommate Preferences: Housing assignments are based on gender, age, course, etc.
