Fulbright scholar

Prestigious, nationally competitive awards for a year of overseas study, research, or teaching. All majors/disciplines are eligible and foreign language proficiency not necessarily required.

September 10, 2021

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduates who will be graduating in Fall 2021, Spring 2022, or Summer 2022
  • Graduate students who will not yet have received their PhD by Fall 2021
  • Recent alumni
  • All majors/disciplines
  • U.S. citizens
  • Must meet any country-specific requirements
  • Must apply by the September 10, 2021 Campus Endorsement Deadline

 

Description:
If you are an undergraduate who will be graduating in Fall 2021, Spring 2022, or Summer 2022, consider applying by the September 10, 2021 Fulbright Campus Nomination Deadline. Graduate students who will not have received their PhD. by this date are also eligible to apply, as are recent alumni. These awards provide funding to conduct research (in any field!), teach English, or enroll is a Master's program overseas for an academic year. Foreign language proficiency is not necessarily required.

Next step after attending a Fulbright Fridays information session? Sign up for Fulbright Summer Boot Camp! Students who plan to submit by the September 10, 2021 deadline will attend a series of weekly session on best application practices. These sessions will focus on the written portions of the application: the short answer questions, the Personal Statement, and the Statement of Grant Purpose.

  • Late May - early August 2021
  • Wednesdays from 1:00 - 2:30 PM
  • Applicants may attend sessions via webinar or view recordings.
