Clinical Assistant Professor
Required Qualifications
MD or equivalent. DEA Certification. Board Certified or eligible in Family Medicine.
New York State licensed or eligible. Skilled in the full scope of care rendered by
Family Medicine physicians. Graduate of an accredited Family Medicine residency training
program.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of family medicine experience. Experienced working in a patient centered
medical home environment. Interest in teaching residents and medical students.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The selected candidate will work for Stony Brook University's Department of Family,
Population and Preventive Medicine as a full time, patient focused clinician in an
ambulatory Patient Centered Medical Home setting that is collegial and team based
(no inpatient requirements). You will have the opportunity to contribute to the teaching
mission, research projects and collaborate on innovative evidence based patient care
programs.
Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2019.
