Clinical Assistant Professor (part time 2@.30 FTE or 1@.60 FTE)

Required Qualifications

  • DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited institution or equivalent foreign degree.
  • Completion of a General Practice Residency (GPR) Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program at a CODA-accredited institution.
  • A New York State (NYS) dental license, or eligibility for such license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical teaching experience at a postdoctoral level
  • Three or more years of dentistry private practice experience
  • Experience in hospital dentistry is highly desirable
  • Experience in treating individuals with special needs
  • Experience with CAD/CAM technology
  • Experience with endodontics and oral surgery

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Clinicial and didactic teaching of General Practice residents in all phases of general dentistry
  • Institutional service
  • Supervision of Residents and Fellows in an operating room setting
  • Appointment will be required at Stony Brook University Hospital

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
