Clinical Assistant Professor (part time 2@.30 FTE or 1@.60 FTE)

Required Qualifications

DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited institution or equivalent foreign degree.
Completion of a General Practice Residency (GPR) Program or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program at a CODA-accredited institution.
A New York State (NYS) dental license, or eligibility for such license.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous clinical teaching experience at a postdoctoral level
Three or more years of dentistry private practice experience
Experience in hospital dentistry is highly desirable
Experience in treating individuals with special needs
Experience with CAD/CAM technology
Experience with endodontics and oral surgery

Responsibilities & Requirements

Clinicial and didactic teaching of General Practice residents in all phases of general dentistry
Institutional service
Supervision of Residents and Fellows in an operating room setting
Appointment will be required at Stony Brook University Hospital

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
