Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor at Eastern Long Island Hospital (Greenport, NY)
Required Qualifications Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a MD/DO equivalent, with four years postgraduate
training in Anesthesiology and completion/pending completion of an ACGME approved
pain management fellowship. Board Eligible/Certified in Anesthesiology. New York
State licensure or eligibility as a physician.
Preferred Qualifications General Anesthesia experience and professional experience in outpatient chronic pain
management center. Board certification in pain management.
Responsibilities & Requirements The Full-time position will provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical/diagnostic
procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing consultation
before and after the anesthetic management. He/she will also be engaged in providing
intensive care to surgical patients. The selected candidate will also be responsible
for providing pain management services at ELIH Pain Management Center to patients
who suffer from chronically debilitating pain. An active role in clinical and/or
basic research will be strongly encouraged.
Professional experience in an outpatient chronic pain management center. Candidates
for advanced academic standing would be expected to provide evidence of research experience.
To qualify for an appointment as Associate Professor or Professor, the candidate must
meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine.
Special Notes This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime
provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 5/1/20.
