Required Qualifications

M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Proven experience and expertise in advanced techniques for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia with a demonstrated commitment to innovative clinical research.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine is looking to hire a clinical electrophysiologist at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level to perform advanced ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Stony Brook University Medical Center is a greater than 600 bed tertiary care medical center that is a state of the art facility, located on the north shore of Long Island, providing cardiovascular care to the 1.4 million residents of long island. Long Island provides a variety of living environments, ranging from cosmopolitan style/big city amenities to suburban/small town feel with top notch school systems and quality of life.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure). Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
