Assistant Professor

Required Qualifications

PhD in hand, a strong research record in the area of Latin American/Hispanic Art and/or US Latinx Art, excellent teaching credentials and native or near native proficiency in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in the global circulation of culture, emphasizing Trans-Atlantic and transnational approaches to the art of Latin America/Spain/the Latino US in any historical period. Essential to this position is the ability to build bridges between art history, visual culture and literary/cultural studies.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Teach two courses per semester at the undergraduate or graduate levels, in Spanish or English, research and publications in the area of specialization, departmental and university service.

Special Notes

This is a tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: August 2020.
