Assistant or Associate Professor
Required Qualifications
Ongoing research fields at the YITP include quantum field theory, string theory, supergravity,
particle and astroparticle theory. cosmology, condensed matter, statistical mechanics,
and quantum information. YITP faculty are also members of the Department of Physics
and Astronomy at Stony Brook University, and the YITP maintains close connections
to the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics and to near-by Brookhaven National Laboratory.
The successful applicant will be expected to engage in independently funded research
characterized by creativity and vision, and to participate in the teaching missions
of the Institute and the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Appointment is anticipated in September 2020. Formal review of files will begin December
2, 2019, and will continue until the position is filled. Interested applicants should
