Value of Visiting

 

The experience of visiting the College of Business at Stony Brook University is invaluable for academic scholars. The College of Business is committed to providing the best academic and professional experience for all visiting scholars and will give them access to the following research resources.

1.Scholars will be issued a Stony Brook ID, providing access to all campus libraries and Facilities, and a free parking pass.

2.Scholars can audit up to two courses (at the undergraduate or graduate level) per semester in consultation with the Program coordinator. 

 3.Scholars can attend the regular research seminars, which include both internal and external academic speakers.

4.Scholars will be given access to the leading finance research databases through access of the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) and Bloomberg Terminal. 

5.Scholars can participate in various organized social events, which gives them an opportunity to interact with the faculty and graduate students in informal settings.

6.Scholars will have access to faculty labs and libraries, which are equipped with computers and printers.

7.Scholars will have many opportunities to interact and collaborate with our faculty members based on mutual research interests.

8.Scholars will have their own office space in a common area designated for visiting scholars in the College of Business.

9.Upon completion of the visit, scholars will receive a certificate of participation issued by the College of Business indicating the completion of the visit.
