WolfieONE
SBU's New ERP System
WolfieONE will bring substantial organizational changes. The Change Management team is dedicated to supporting Stony Brook at every step along the way from awareness to adoption by informing, involving and engaging the relevant audiences in the right way, at the right times.

What is an ERP?
ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. It is a centralized software platform that integrates an organization's core business processes—such as finance, human resources, and data management—into a single unified network.
How WolfieONE Brings Our Campus Together
WolfieONE is Stony Brook's ERP. It will unify the way we work by replacing outdated, siloed systems and processes, with a centralized, cloud-based solution. This will improve reporting and decision making. It will reduce paper-driven processes through online workflow approvals, informational dashboards, and electronic time and attendance systems. It will reduce the administrative burden on faculty and staff and allows for campus-wide transparency and collaboration.
Current State vs. Future State
Current State - Why the Change:
- Our current system, PeopleSoft, is reaching end-of-life
- Processes today rely heavily on emails, paper forms, and manual tracking
- Reporting is fragmented across multiple systems
- Cloud-based solutions are now the higher education standard
Future State - What WolfieONE Will Do:
- Bring HR, Finance, and Planning into one integrated platform
- Replace outdated systems with Oracle Cloud applications (more processes completed online in one place)
- Reduce manual work and offline tracking (fewer emails and paper forms)
- Improve reporting and decision-making through live dashboards
- Increase transparency and data integrity
OCM’s Role
The Office of Change Management (OCM) at Stony Brook University supports campus-wide change initiatives by helping faculty, staff, students, and leadership, successfully adapt to change. OCM's goal is to ensure new initiatives, like WolfieONE, are clearly communicated, effectively implemented, and sustainably adopted.
An Updated Timeline
In 2026, The Office of Change Management will be working in parallel with our change network, stakeholders, development teams and trainers to ensure that we are able to launch WolfieONE as soon as possible.
