CAMPUS STANDARDS AND ACCESSIBILITY

The purpose of this subcommittee is to:

  • monitor efforts to standardize preferred accessibility hardware working with campus wide design standards
  • monitor campus architectural accessibility for people with disabilities, identify barriers and address resolutions
  • when necessary, review and provide follow up recommendations on new developing projects
  • monitor ADA compliance issues on projects to assure the community can access all buildings to meet ADAAG ANSI A117.1
  • monitor accessible equipment such as lifts and automatic door operators through maintenance
