ALUMNI ADMISSIONS AMBASSADORS

RECRUITING THE NEXT GENERATION OF SEAWOLVES

Your Alumni Association and Stony Brook students need your energy and ideas! Join the growing network of alumni volunteers and help promote the mission of the University – all while having fun!

There are a variety of ways, both direct and indirect, that you can represent Stony Brook University in your home state or on campus. Depending on your availability and level of interest in volunteering your time, you can choose from one or more of our suggested activities:

  • Virtual Events and Social Media
  • On-Campus Events
  • Letter Writing
  • Telecounseling
  • E-mail
  • Admitted Student Day

Before we send you to an event or have you interact with prospective students and families on your own, you will meet with an Admissions Contact or even shadow them at an event. Alumni play such a vital role to any college or university and we look forward to having you share your experiences with future Seawolves!

HOST OR ATTEND NEW STUDENT SUMMER SEND-OFF RECEPTIONS

Each summer, the Alumni Association’s Admissions’ Committee hosts a number of receptions across the country to welcome Stony Brook’s newest students. All alumni, parents, current students and new students and their families are welcome to attend these informal gatherings. Don’t miss this great opportunity to share your experiences on campus and after graduation with incoming students and their families.
