Cap & Gown Information
Academic regalia is required to participate in the SPD Convocation and the main Stony Brook Commencement. Caps, gowns and hoods are available to purchase at the campus bookstore.

SPD Convocation
All candidates will be recognized by name at the SPD Convocation. Degree and certificate candidates must RSVP by April 26.

Professional photographers will be on-hand to take graduation portraits prior to the ceremony, so please plan to attend earlier if you would like to pose for a portrait. Reception to follow in SAC Lobby.
Stony Brook Main Commencement Ceremony
To obtain tickets, candidates must complete the Ceremony Attendance Form on the SOLAR System on or before May 3, 2013. Tickets guarantee entrance to the Stadium, but specific seats cannot be reserved.
